Construction on the new Milgard Hall building continues

Construction continues on Milgard Hall, the newest building for the University of Washington Tacoma campus. Scheduled to be open to student and campus use in early 2023, the building is planned to be used for the Milgard School of Business as well as offer laboratory space to support the School of Engineering and Technology. Expanded space for the Global Innovation and Design Lab will also be
available.

The building will offer 55,000 square-foot of use and will be located adjacent to the Snoqualmie library. While construction was originally planned to take place on the undeveloped lawn next to Court 17, university planners decided to relocate. The original location instead will be reserved for future
student life developments given its proximity to Court 17 and the University Student Center YMCA.

The building itself, while still under construction, is planned to be activated fully and completely for students and class in the Winter 2023 quarter, although the building will be open and operating before that according to current projections.
