More Celebrities Express Distaste for Trump

Presidential candidate Donald Trump has a history of upsetting a plethora of celebrities, companies, and politicians. From department stores to war veterans, there are a lot of people who hate the 69-year-old billionaire.

One company that has separated itself from Trump publicly is Macy’s, a popular department store. In early July of 2015, Macy’s dropped a menswear line from their stores made by Trump. In an interview with CNBC, Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren says the company made the decision solely on the fact that Trump is running for president. “If Hillary Clinton had a handbag collection,” Lundgren says, “we [wouldn’t] carry it either.” Yet, others notice that the company dropped Trump’s line two weeks after he made racist remarks regarding illegal immigration and Hispanic Americans. Trump retaliated by instructing his Twitter followers to boycott the chain, claiming it was he who cut ties with the company.

Another company against Trump’s campaign is the cell-phone company, T-Mobile. After Trump tweeted about UFC Champion Ronda Rousey losing her undefeated title on Nov. 15th, John Legere, the CEO of T-Mobile, replied by stating he would pay big money to see Trump fight Rousey. Trump shot back saying he thinks T-Mobile’s “service is terrible.” Trump also tweets that T-Mobile “is pathetic” with “dropped calls” and “no service.” He no longer wants T-Mobile in his buildings. Legere took the last shot by stating “I am an undecided Republican… well not totally undecided, I know what I don’t want.”

A specific person who is not too fond of Trump is Sen. John McCain, who is a veteran that spent five years as a prisoner during the Vietnam War. Trump publicly says that McCain “is not a war hero,” and in an interview with ABC News, says he does not owe McCain an apology because he was captured during the war. “People that fought hard and weren’t captured and went through a lot, they get no credit. Nobody even talks about them. They’re like forgotten. And I think that’s a shame,” Trump says. Trump also criticized McCain on Fox News stating that he did not actively improve the healthcare system provided for veterans. Trump says that McCain is “all talk, but no action.”

Jeb Bush, who is no longer in the race for president, also dislikes Trump. Recently, Bush recruited his mother and former first lady, Barbara Bush, to aid in promoting his campaign. On Jan. 22nd, Trump tweeted, “Just watched Jeb’s ad where he desperately needed Mommy to help him. Jeb—Mom can’t help you with ISIS, the Chinese or with Putin.” Not only did Trump throw this jab, but according to the Washington Post, he also called Bush “low energy” as well as a “loser.”

The Pope also dislikes Trump. The Pope commented on Trump being “un- Christian” in reference to his desire to build a wall separating Mexico and the United States.

Other celebrities and personalities that dislike Trump are Miss Universe Paulina Vega, Cher, the Central Park Five paper, Modern Family writer Danny Zuker, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and the Obama family.

Although there is a surplus of Trump haters, he is still in the race for president and could potentially be the President of the United States due to his support of war veterans and his opposition of illegal immigrants.
